fujifilm instax share sp1 unboxing and mini review

Taking photos has always been a favourite past time of mine, and I won Yesasia vouchers a while ago. Which I used to purchase my Fujifilm Instax mini 25, recently the Fujifilm instax share sp1 printer caught my eye and I brought it last month in Jessops for £139. I love Polaroid cameras and instant photos I use to own the iZone one back in the days and still have it stashed away.

So what’s inside the box?
2 packs of instax film the same as the one used for the instax camera.
CR2 batteries
2 Manuals

The Instax share sp1 uses 2 CR2 batteries; once you insert the film and power it up the green lights show the battery life and how many shots you have left.
The great thing about this printer is you can use wifi connection to print directly to the printer using the instax SHARE app available on both the apple app and play store.

You can choose templates on screen and add text just like the old Purikura photobooths I loved so much in my teens. There’s also a reprint option if you like to share the same image and print for a friend. It prints in matter of seconds but take about 2 minutes to fully develop.

Print quality
Although the print quality is not exactly that great compare to using a real instax camera the novelty of the Fujifilm Instax Share sp1 printer is that you won’t waste films on bad shots. I can see this at parties where you can create your own DIY photo booth print photos with the friends and family.

Film packs are quite pricey in the UK twin packs of 20 are £19.99 I like to buy mine in bulk on eBay and you can find fun frames like Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty etc.

Please take a look at my unboxing video on youtube.
